Ms. Bethany Hope Floyd, A.K.A. Gros, Assistant Principal's Bio

My name is Bethany Hope Floyd and am honored to serve as your assistant principal at Long Beach Middle School. I am excited about working with the LBMS team, students, parents, and community. The 2021/2022 school year marks 6 years for me in school administration and 16 years in education. I earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from William Carey University and a Specialist degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. I am the proud mother of three amazing children, Maddox, Janson, and Hanley Claire
Safety, character development, and teaching and learning are among my top priorities. Our school and district have put many things in place to keep our students safe. You can find our district’s most up to date information on our district’s website,www.lbsdk12.com.

At LBMS we have a house system as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention System, PBIS. Each student is chosen by a house. Each house provides encouragement, character lessons, and additional staff support for students. I am in the Fidum house and hope that your student is chosen by the Fidum house because our house is the best. Please ask your students about their house name, name meaning, color, and upcoming activities and house challenges. It is a fun way to keep our students excited and engaged in our school. Our PBIS theme this year is “At LBMS we are Building The Best!” Please join us in reminding our students to give their best effort in everything they do at home and school.

I look forward to meeting and working with each of you to help our students become their personal best! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (228)864-3370 or by email at bethany.floyd@lbsdk12.com. Let's make this the BEST year!

Ms. Floyd, also known as Ms. Gros
