LBMS Physical Education

Welcome to Coach Strickland's Long Beach Middle School PE class! As we begin the 2024/2025 school year, I would like welcome all to your gymnasium. I would like students and parents to know that Physical Education will be modified to ensure that we are doing all that we can to maintain a safe and positive environment for all students, regardless of ability, while still providing a place and time for students to participate in physical activity during the school day.
We will work with administration, school staff, and custodians to make Physical Education as safe as possible for everyone involved.

2024/2025 Physical Education Update
  • PE students are expected to dress out each day. They should have separate top and bottom (school appropriate) to wear specifically for PE only. Close toed shoes are also required to participate. (Crocs, flip flops, and sliders will not be permitted)
  • Students who do not meet these requirements will not be allowed to participate and will not receive credit for PE on that day.
  • Proper hydrtation is very important, especially during outdoor activities. We strongly suggest students bring water bottles for PE for easy access to water as needed.
  • PE will be conducted both indoors and outdoors throughout the course of the year. Its important students stay hydrated even when they are not in PE class.
