ELA Tutorial

LBMS Tutorial is a program designed to support struggling learners improve basic literacy, reading, writing, and problem-solving math skills. We will follow the College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards scaffolding basic skills. Our goal is to provide support and help in a positive environment for those students struggling in their academic classes and with state testing.

Students will be encouraged to organize their binders and book-bags on a regular basis. Students will complete weekly grade checks and a weekly assignment calendar (Week-At-A-Glance.) Students will only receive a quarter grade. When using PowerSchool to review your student's progress, please only review (Q1, Q2, Q3, or Q4 averages). S1,S2, and Y1 will only reflect the current quarter thus making them irrelevant. This is a state mandated program, and at the end of each term, students placement in the program will be reviewed by our Support Team.

I can be reached by calling guidance and scheduling a conference, 864-9737, or by email, mary.woodruff@lbsdk12.com.

We will follow our Class Creed:

I will be present; I will have honor, and I will collaborate professionally.
