I'm Mrs. White, and I am thrilled to begin my seventh year here at Long Beach Middle School!

My greatest passion is watching students grow. I am committed to making sure every student in my classroom has the opportunity to excel and achieve their academic goals. This year, we will be working together as a team—students, parents, and me—to build both academic success and strong character. We are going to make this a fantastic year of learning and growth!

My philosophy is best captured by this quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.:

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education."

In our class, we will focus on developing both your intelligence (what you know) and your character (how you use what you know). My goal is for you to leave my classroom as a more confident, critical, and capable thinker!

⛰️ A Little Bit About Myself

When I'm not teaching, I am a proud mother of three grown boys (a firefighter, a mechanical engineer, and a Marine!). I love the great outdoors—especially the mountains—and enjoy thrilling activities like hiking and white water rafting. I also have a great love for quiet places, like old libraries, and I enjoy finding and reading old books.
